About this opportunity:

We are now looking for a talented and motivated master’s thesis student with an interest in large language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP) to help develop a system that translates human language queries into SQL. As part of our team, you will directly contribute to how we simplify access to insights from large relational databases by allowing users to ask intuitive questions in natural language.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with a team of data scientists and developers to design, develop, and deploy an NLP-based query translation system using LLMs.
• Work on training and fine-tuning LLMs to improve query accuracy and handle complex database structures with large number of related tables.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept and data preparation to deployment and optimization.
• Participate in regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews.

You will bring:

• Currently pursuing a master’s in computer science/engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI.
• Software development skills and proficiency in Python.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI’s GPT models).
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
