Master Thesis 2025
About this opportunity:
With newer frequencies in the massive-MIMO segment there are new requirements incoming with respect to emissions over horizon. To lower the emissions over the horizon one option is to add the ability to tilt the products downwards towards the ground. For the product to function optimally the tilting needs to be able to be adjusted after installation and during product operation.
What you will do:
The main target is to:
- Analyze requirements for remote tilt bracket
- Dimension motor for loads it might be subjected to
- Develop a remote tilt bracket solution for mMIMO products, focus on mechanics excluding motor control
- Perform structural, vibration and windload simulations for the proposed solution
- Consider DFx, production & material cost, robustness, sustainability and recyclability
- Produce a mock-up of the developed design
The skills you bring:
This project aims at students in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Extent: 2 students, 30 hp each
