Keynote

Johan Wickström has a PhD in religious history and is associate professor and lecturer in didactics and excellent teacher at Uppsala University. He has many years of experience in academic development, and for a few years was deputy head of the academic development unit. Nowadays, he devotes himself to higher education pedagogy, religious didactic and educational historical research. He teaches in teacher programs and in pedagogy with a focus on working life. His higher education pedagogy research is focused on inclusive and democracy-promoting teaching and critical perspectives on higher education pedagogic theory. He has written two books in higher education pedagogy, partly the report “Diversity-aware pedagogy for university teachers” (2011), partly “Academic teaching in practice – Handbook in learning activities for seminars” (2024).
