Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, has a distinctive focus on the digitalisation of society and sustainability.

BTH stands for quality and innovative thinking and wants to be experienced as an open, exciting, and creative university. We develop new knowledge through our research, which usually is conducted in collaboration with society and with an application in mind. The research contributes to a sustainable future, both directly through research results and indirectly through our doctoral students and through a research-related undergraduate education.

Our strength lies in how we work as a small and independent university. We can and need to be open to changes, fast in taking measures, bold in breaking patterns and reluctant in complaining about external circumstances. We cannot rest on old laurels but must prove that a young university with a strategic way of working can deliver high quality research and education in important areas.

Achieving our goals requires motivated and committed employees who are given the conditions to deliver research and education of the highest possible quality. Work environment and gender equality are obvious issues on the agenda, and we strive for continuous improvement.
