Blekinge county council

Since 1999, the Blekinge county council and BTH have had a strong collaboration on the provision of clinical training (VFU) for nursing students, and clinical environments for education and research.

The collaboration stems from BTH’s need to ensure clinical training for its nursing students and clinical environments for education and research, and this need can be met by the Blekinge county council. Meanwhile, the county council is in need of academic education and research cooperation in key areas for a continuous quality enhancement in healthcare.

A central aspect of the collaboration is about safeguarding the access to qualified staff in healthcare, and the opportunity for immediate employment for recent nursing graduates.
