Corresponding author and affiliation

To be eligible to publish open access under a Bibsam agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with a participating organization. This applies to all agreements, regardless of publisher or journal.

As a corresponding author this means that:

You must be affiliated with a participating organization.
The article is based on research conducted at the affiliated organization.
Your affiliation must be stated in the manuscript as well as the published article.
Since publishers often identify eligible articles from your email domain name, make sure to always use your BTH email address when submitting a manuscript.

Corresponding author

is the person who handles the manuscript and communication with the publisher during the publication process.

What is Open Access, gold, green and hybrid?

Regardless of the method the researcher chooses, the research should undergo peer review.

Green OA is also called parallel publishing. The researcher publishes a peer-reviewed and edited version of the article in a digital archive (at BTH, it is DIVA) after it has been published in a traditional subscription-based journal.

Gold OA: The researcher publishes with an open access publisher. The book or article then becomes immediately available on the internet. Often, the publisher charges a publication fee (APC) paid by the researcher/institution.

Hybrid: Articles are published in a traditional subscription-based journal and made immediately available for a fee (APC).
