BTH is now part of the funded “European University Alliance” – European University

BTH is a member of the European University Alliance “BAUHAUS4EU”, which consists of ten higher education institutions across Europe. The Alliance has now received €39 million from the European Commission to work together in various ways to shape the future of teaching, learning, research and innovation.

The Alliance will improve international mobility for students, researchers and staff. It will also focus on projects in education and research, as well as establishing common infrastructures and joint education and research programmes at all 10 participating higher education institutions.

In June, the alliance reached a significant milestone by securing the maximum grant of €14.39 million over four years from the European Commission. BTH will receive €1.9 million as its share of this grant.

“Being part of the BAUHAUS4EU alliance, which has now been granted support from the EU, is a big step forward for BTH. It gives us an opportunity to accelerate our internationalisation by developing new courses and educational programmes together with our partners,” says Vice-Chancellor Mats Viberg.

“For students, it means new opportunities for exchanges and that more students from the alliance will come to BTH. For research, it means more opportunities for exchanges in both directions as well as opportunities to apply for projects together with other universities,” he says.

BTH and its partners are committed to promoting sustainable and inclusive development through international and multilateral cooperation. They address regional challenges through innovative teaching, research and exchange programmes, drawing on the combined expertise of universities and regional stakeholders.
