Statement of solidarity with Ukraine

It is with great sadness and horror that we follow the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

BTH stands behind the democratic values that are now at stake and we support statements from, among others, the Swedish Association of Higher Education Institutions and the European University’s Association.

We will take action on the Swedish government’s call to immediately discontinue all collaborations with state institutions in Russia and Belarus.

BTH has isolated agreements with Russian institutions for exchange in research and education. These agreements will cease immediately. No new agreements will be initiated. We have no agreement with Belarus.

In conclusion, BTH stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian higher education institutions and we want to express our support for the Ukrainian people.
