Many testing activities in the software industry, including those based on Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), are still performed manually due to a lack of automation tools and knowledge. This makes testing costly and error-prone, directly impacting the user’s experience and their ability to meet their needs.

Many testing activities in the software industry, including those based on Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), are still performed manually due to a lack of automation tools and knowledge. This makes testing costly and error-prone, directly impacting the user’s experience and their ability to meet their needs.
The emergence of Generative AI offers capabilities to mitigate the challenges of GUI-based testing. The T.A.R.G.E.T. project aims to innovate by developing new knowledge, technology, and tools that support easy-to-use, end-to-end AI for efficient and effective GUI testing. These solutions seek to add value to the software industry and foster human-machine symbiosis, where humans collaborate closely with AI to achieve testing objectives.
The project is led by Blekinge Institute of Technology in collaboration with two industrial partners, Synteda AB and QESTIT AB.
