Johan Eklund is the chief economist of the South Swedish Camber of Industry- and Commerce. He is also professor of economics at Jönköping International Business School, and professor of industrial economics at BTH. Johan Eklund received his PhD at Jönköping International Business School, but has also studied at several international universities. He has among other thing a degree in “Rechtsökonomi” (Law and Economics) from the University of Vienna and has studied at George Mason University, USA. Eklund is a fellow of the Royal Engineering Science Academy (IVA) and is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society. He is also research fellow at Indiana University, Institute for Development Strategies (IDS), O´Neill School of Policy and Environmental Affairs i Bloomington, USA. Pervisoly he has served as CEO of Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum. In 2023 he founded the Scandinavian Policy Institute.
