Lisa Wälitalo
Postdoc position
Department of Strategic Sustainable Development, Room H453C
I am a PhD student and teacher at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) and hold a master’s degree in environmental health from Umeå University. My current research aim to evaluate and develop the functionality of an implementation model for systematic cross-disciplinary and cross-sector municipal and regional strategic work for sustainability. This is done through Participatory Action Research (PAR) with seven Swedish municipalites, two Swedish regions and the island of Åland (Finnish).
Before starting my PhD studies I worked ten years with and within public sector in Sweden, at municipal and regional level. I have had positions as Environmental inspector, Agenda 21 coordinator, Energy and climate advisor and Sustainability strategist. I have also coordinated several EU projects and led the work of developing Climate and Energy Strategies for the Municipality of Karlskrona and the County of Blekinge.
