Professor Martin Wrobel as Visiting Professor at TIEK

We are delighted to host Prof. Martin Wrobel as a Visiting Professor in September as part of an Erasmus exchange collaboration.

Martin Wrobel is a Professor of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences and a Research Associate at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG).

Previously, Martin served as a Visiting Professor at TecnoCampus (Pompeu Fabra University) in Barcelona, and as a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT Media Lab) in Cambridge, as well as at The New School (Parsons School of Art, Media, and Technology) in New York City.

He co-authored the book Unternehmensführung, a classic textbook on business management now in its fourth edition, and recently published the first edition of Marketing and Sales for Startups. The book provides a practical guide to creating customized marketing and sales strategies, especially for innovative startups. Many startups fail because, despite having great product or service ideas, they can’t attract enough paying customers. If founders can’t solve this problem, they are likely to fail.

Throughout his business career, he helped build and scale the European operations of two SaaS startups: Meltwater and Freshworks.

Welcome to our department, Professor Martin! We are looking forward to an exciting research collaboration.
